Junior Savers Week 2026 Encourages Young People to Build Smart Saving Habits
Junior Savers Week returns from 5th to 11th October 2026, celebrating the importance of saving, financial literacy and helping young people develop positive money habits from an early age.
At Kilrush Credit Union, we are proud to support initiatives that empower children and young people to become confident and informed when it comes to managing money. Junior Savers Week provides an opportunity to highlight the importance of financial education while showcasing the many ways credit unions support young savers within their communities.
One of the key features of Junior Savers Week 2026 is The Big Junior Savers Week Quiz, which gives children of all ages the opportunity to test their knowledge and have some fun while learning about money and saving. Participants will have the chance to win a One4All Voucher, while schools taking part through the dedicated Teacher Pack will be entered into a draw to win a Samsung Tablet.
The quiz opens on Monday, 5th October at 12 noon and closes on Sunday, 11th October at 11:59pm.
Supporting Financial Literacy in the Classroom
Junior Savers Week is about much more than saving money. It also provides an opportunity to promote financial literacy and encourage conversations about money management in schools and at home.
